These terms apply when you buy from or commission work from Tanbarks through this website. By placing an order you agree to them.

Orders and prices

• We sell to customers in the United States, with prices in US dollars, and the United Kingdom, with prices in pounds sterling. Shipping is shown before you pay. Import duties, where they apply, are paid by the recipient.
• Your order is confirmed once payment goes through. If a piece turns out to be unavailable, we'll let you know and refund you in full.
• We may correct obvious pricing errors before an order ships, in which case we'll offer you the choice to continue or cancel with a full refund.

Handmade goods

Tanbarks originals are cut and stitched by hand from natural, vegetable-tanned leather; partner-brand pieces are made by the maker named on the product. Small differences in grain, colour and markings are part of the material and aren't faults. Veg-tan leather darkens and develops a patina with use.

Custom commissions

• We agree the design, materials, price and timeline with you before we start, and send a swatch for approval.
• Commission timelines are estimates. We'll keep you updated if anything changes.
• All sales are final, including custom and personalised pieces. See our Refund policy.

Shipping, refunds and privacy

See our Shipping, Refund policy and Privacy pages. They form part of these terms. All sales are final: we don't accept returns or offer replacements or exchanges.

Our responsibility

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under consumer law. Beyond those rights, our responsibility for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
